A tune up used to be replacing the spark plugs, adjust
the timing, adjust the points and condenser gap, balance
and adjust the carburetor, thus with these adjustments
you could fine tune your vehicles performance. Not
today, with electronic ignition, injectors and computer
controlled sensors most adjustments are a thing of the
past.
Maintenance of modern cars involves diagnosing the
current operation of each system with complex equipment
and the skills to use these tools correctly. It also
requires knowledge and experience to know when and what
to do to bring these automated systems back into proper
operating ranges.
At Tunex spark plugs are still included with every "tune
up" along with our Basic Engine Analysis to identify the
problem areas and components. Once completed a quote is
prepared and reviewed with the customer. If additional
parts or service are needed to restore the vehicles
performance they are performed only with the customers
approval and by our qualified technicians.
All parts and labor provided at Tunex carries our:
written guarantee of six months or
6,000 miles
